We are currently accepting applicaitons for 2016 funding. New applications will be accepted until, Friday, March 27, 2015 until 5:00pm. Application forms are available on this website or by contacting the United Way office at 770-229-4212.
Any organization desiring to be considered for United Way funding must submit a formal application to the Griffin-Spalding County United Way's Board of Directors. The organization must be non-profit, declared tax-empt under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code 1954. The organization seeking admission must be reviewed by the United Way Board of Directors to determine program quality and whether or not it is a duplication of an existing member agency program.
Agencies currently receiving funding from the Griffin-Spalding County United Way: Abundant Life Soup Kitchen, Georgia Three Rivers Chapter of the American Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America-Flint River Council, Caring House, Council on Aging, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, Griffin/Spalding Literacy Commission, Griffin Area Habitat for Humanity, Griffin Area Resource Center, House of Hope, Hope Health Clinic of Spalding County, Midway Recovery Systems, Partners In Education, Salvation Army, Salvation Army Community Center for Boys and Girls, Special Olympics, Spalding County 4-H, and Stepping Stones Educational Therapy Center.
